Civic
Stewarding a relationship-centered civic innovation platform that sources, builds, tests, and scales solutions with Central Florida communities.
Rally exists to help Central Florida communities address complex challenges through relationship, trust, and shared responsibility. I serve as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, stewarding Rally’s role as a civic innovation platform that brings together entrepreneurs, residents, institutions, and public partners to source promising ideas, build them into viable solutions, test them in real-world conditions, and scale what proves effective in the places people live and work.
Rally’s work is grounded in the belief that durable change does not begin with programs or policies alone, but with people who are willing to learn together, take measured risks, and remain accountable to place. From its earliest days, Rally was designed to operate at the intersection of innovation and community, creating pathways for ideas to move from concept to practice while staying rooted in lived experience.
Since its launch in 2017, Rally has supported hundreds of social entrepreneurs working alongside Central Florida communities across issues such as housing, health and wellness, education, sustainability, connectivity, and economic mobility.
Through structured sourcing, hands-on venture building, real-world pilots, and scaling pathways, alumni ventures have raised more than $40 million in follow-on funding, created hundreds of jobs, and partnered with municipalities, school systems, health providers, universities, and community organizations throughout the region.
Today, Rally operates as a Living Lab, aligning cross-sector partners around clearly defined challenges facing Central Florida communities and supporting ventures as they build solutions, test them in real-world settings, and determine what should responsibly scale or be replicated. Rally’s role is not to prescribe answers, but to steward the system around them: clarifying problems, convening the right people, designing pilots, and ensuring that learning and data inform what comes next.
This is how I live out my mission through Rally. By leading a civic platform rooted in relationship and dignity, I help Central Florida communities and innovators find and fearlessly move into the power of their unique stories and solutions, together.
Visiting Social Entrepreneur
The Stanford GSB Center for Social Innovation educates insightful leaders for social and environmental change. Their social innovation curriculum is part of a holistic social-innovation learning model that builds off of the management core curriculum and leverages academic frameworks, students’ and professionals’ experiences, and hands-on discovery. The center supports both tenure-line and adjunct faculty in developing courses that are grounded in the fundamentals of social innovation: impact measurement, human-centered design, systems thinking, and cross-sector approaches.
As a participant in The Stanford GSB Center for Social Innovation Visiting Entrepreneur Program during the 2021-2022 academic year, I assist the center by helping them inspire, educate, and shape students into the next generation of changemakers through various touchpoints, such as advising, speaking, fellowship judging panels, etc.
