Free Webinar For The Learning Guardians of Elementary Students
This free webinar will provide learning guardians of elementary students with step-by-step instructions on how to deliver an instructional process that uses storytelling, art, and coding to improve students’ reading and thinking skills through a virtual classroom.
The instructional process requires students to transform stories based on academic concepts into drawings and digital animations using code. The process leverages the power of visualization, which is a well-established reading comprehension instructional and assessment practice (Brown & Cambourne, 1990; Morrow, 1985), and retelling activities. Additionally, the coding activity, which is used to animate the stories, provide a fun way to strengthen students’ critical and computational thinking skills.
During this 30-minute free webinar, learning guardians will:
Receive an in-depth review of the instructional process and framework.
Learn how to use and implement the framework to achieve academic objectives.
