Equipping Organizations To Undermine The Triple Evils In The Communities They Serve.

The notion of the “Beloved Community” was popularized by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., when he envisioned a society where there is justice and equal opportunity for all, and both are undergirded by love for fellow human beings. Unfortunately, the realization of the Beloved Community has been and continues to be under attack by the Triple Evils of poverty, racism, and aggression. For organizations that aspire to be citizens of the Beloved Community, the Beloved Community Framework can help them develop better strategies, initiatives, policies, and partnerships that undermine the Triple Evils in the communities they serve through a process that leads to changed behavior, healing, and repair. The process includes:

  • Structured encounters between people impacted by the Triple Evils to bring about fundamental changed behavior, healing, and mutually agreed on and constructed repairs, such as new initiatives, strategy and policy changes, etc.

  • Education that helps participants understand the historical narratives that have shaped and perpetuated the Triple Evils within the communities they live and/or serve in.

  • Collection and ongoing analysis of metrics and assessments that provide insight into the current state of the Triple Evils within the community and the impact of existing and new strategies.

I invite you to have a conversation with me about the framework and how it can help your organization participate in the building and maintenance of the Beloved Community.
